A local historic building and place, the Old Dutch Church has stood proud since 1685.  Through a modern lens Jessica wanted to paint a view that showed its stature and give a modern view of the historic building and its surroundings. Fall tones and color palette give a subtle nod to Washington Irving’s  short story and the season. Metallic layers accent the gothic style windows and the cemetery’s stately tree. The painting brings rich colors and historic and modern design into any space.
